Regional Australia Bank is seeking an experienced Head of Technology & Security to drive our enterprise technology direction, uplift security maturity, and ensure our systems remain resilient, innovative and aligned to our business strategy.

About the role

In this senior leadership role, you will oversee technology strategy, cyber security, enterprise architecture and data management standards. You’ll guide a high‑performing team and partner with executives to deliver secure, scalable and modern technology platforms that enable exceptional member experience.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead and implement the bank’s technology, data and information security strategy
• Oversee secure, resilient and high‑performing infrastructure, applications and networks
• Drive technology governance, regulatory compliance and cyber security uplift
• Lead enterprise architecture and ensure systems are scalable and interoperable
• Manage critical technology partners, vendors and service providers
• Build, mentor and develop a talented Technology & Security team
• Oversee IT risk management, disaster recovery and business continuity frameworks
• Support major technology initiatives, digital uplift and innovation projects across the bank

What you’ll bring

• 10+ years’ senior technology leadership experience (financial services ideal)
• Strong background in cyber security, enterprise architecture and data management
• Proven experience developing and executing technology strategy
• Excellent stakeholder leadership and communication skills
• A collaborative, people‑first leadership style
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with operational execution
• Strong understanding of technology risk, governance and regulatory requirements (e.g. APRA CPS 234)
