The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Team Leader to lead and develop our frontline customer advisory teams across our branch network covering Tenterfield, Glen Innes and Guyra. This is a hands‑on leadership role focused on delivering consistently high service standards, developing people capability, and supporting strong business outcomes.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will play a key role in coaching staff, managing performance, and ensuring compliance within a fast‑paced retail banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coach, lead and motivate a team of customer advisors to deliver exceptional, needs‑based service
- Support and develop staff capability through regular feedback, performance reviews and development planning
- Ensure consistent compliance with legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements
- Coordinate staffing levels and assist with workload management during high‑volume periods
- Support quality referrals, cross‑selling and customer retention outcomes
- Resolve customer complaints effectively and within policy guidelines
- Prepare and present accurate reports on branch activity and performance
- Act as a role model for Regional Australia Bank values and professional standards
About You
You are a confident people leader with a passion for customer service and team development. You enjoy coaching others, thrive on accountability, and can balance operational demands with quality outcomes.
Essential criteria:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a customer service environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships
- Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure, and achieve results
- ASIC Tier II accreditation (or willingness to obtain within 3 months)
- Current, unrestricted driver’s licence
Desirable:
- Experience within the banking or financial services industry
- Capability across IT and digital systems
